General Questions

  • How much does a fence cost?

Fence pricing depends on several factors — material, style, total length, number and style of gates, and whether an existing fence needs to be removed first. Because every project is different, we don't publish set prices. The best way to get an accurate number is through our free estimate, either in person or through our online design tool. • Can I get an estimate without scheduling an appointment?

Fence pricing depends on several factors — material, style, total length, number and style of gates, and whether an existing fence needs to be removed first. Because every project is different, we don't publish set prices. The best way to get an accurate number is through our free estimate, either in person or through our online design tool.

  • Can you give me an estimate over the phone?

We prefer to come out and see the project in person before giving you a number. Every yard is different — terrain, access, existing structures, and other factors can all affect the final cost. An on-site estimate means the price we quote is one we can actually stand behind. And there's no charge for the visit.

  • Can my fence project be financed?

Yes. Financing options are available through our financial partner, Lyon Financial. Please see our FINACING page.

  • What's the best fence for my home?

Honestly, that's one of the best questions you can ask — and it's exactly why we offer free on-site estimates. Every property is different, and the right fence depends on your goals, your yard, and your budget. If you want some inspiration first, browse our recent work in the photo gallery on our website. When we come out, we'll listen to what you have in mind, share what's worked well for other NWA homeowners, and help you land on the best solution for your specific project.

  • Do you offer all types of fence styles?

We offer most any fence style you have in mind, including wood, cedar, vinyl, chain link, and ornamental iron — and if your property calls for something custom, we have the skill set to make it happen. As with most things in life, you get what you pay for, and a well-built fence shows it.

  • What is the most popular fence style?

Wood privacy fencing is the most common choice for homeowners because it provides privacy, security, and a natural appearance.

  • What fence type requires the least maintenance?

Chain link requires virtually zero maintenance and is the lowest-maintenance option we offer. Ornamental aluminum is another great low-maintenance choice. Vinyl is easy to care for but can develop mildew over time and will need occasional cleaning. Wood is a beautiful natural option but requires the most upkeep — staining, sealing, and some warping over time are just part of owning a wood fence.

  • Do you service ALL of Northwest Arkansas?

We proudly serve all of Northwest Arkansas, including Fayetteville, Springdale, Rogers, Bentonville, Siloam Springs, Bella Vista, Centerton, Lowell, Pea Ridge and the surrounding communities along the I-49 corridor from Winslow to the Missouri border. We exclusively serve Arkansas residents.

  • What is the best time to build a fence?

Honestly, the best time is whenever you're ready. We install year-round and do our best to work around your schedule. We'll always be upfront about our availability and give you a realistic timeframe.

  • Do you handle fence permits?

Yes — and we handle the entire permit process for you once your project is awarded. We do this for two reasons: it saves homeowners the hassle of navigating a process they're not familiar with, and it allows us to know the exact easements and setbacks required for your property. The last thing anyone wants is a fence built across a property line. If boundaries are unclear, we may recommend a survey to confirm property pin locations before we break ground.

  • Can you help locate property pins or determine fence placement?

Absolutely — and this is something we take seriously. We're happy to help homeowners look for existing property pins and discuss fence placement during the estimate. If boundaries are unclear, we may recommend a survey before installation begins. Getting this right from the start protects you, your neighbors, and your investment.

  • Do you check for underground utilities before installation?

Yes. Before any digging begins, we contact Arkansas 811 (ARUPS) to have all underground utilities marked. It's a standard part of our process on every job . Protecting your property and our crew starts before the first post goes in.

  • Will you install fencing materials that I purchase myself?

In most cases, no — and it's actually in your best interest. We've tried it in the past and found that customer-supplied materials almost always have something missing, which ends up costing more in the long run. We purchase materials in bulk, store them at our facility, and load everything needed for your job before we arrive. That way, nothing gets missed and there are no surprise charges.

  • How deep are fence posts installed?

Posts are typically installed between 24 and 36 inches deep depending on the height and style of the fence. Certain styles, such as cap-and-trim or horizontal fences, may require longer posts.

  • How long does it take to install a fence?

Most residential fences are completed in 1–2 days, though larger projects or tricky terrain can add some time. Weather can play a role too. We'll give you a realistic timeframe when we come out for your estimate so there are no surprises.

  • Do I need to be home during installation?

No. As long as we have access to the work area and gate locations are confirmed, you do not need to be home during installation.

  • What do you do with the old material?

We haul all old fencing back to our facility and transport it to a Class 4 construction material approved landfill. We never burn old fence material — it's illegal, an EPA violation, and simply bad for the environment.

  • Should I stain my fence?

Staining a wood fence is recommended because it helps protect the wood from moisture, sun exposure, and weathering. Staining can also extend the life of the fence and help maintain its appearance.

  • Why is my fence warping?

Warping in wood fences usually comes down to two things: wood species and weather. Pressure treated pine is especially prone to it — and that's not likely to change anytime soon. About 20 years ago, the EPA phased out CCA (Chromated Copper Arsenate) in residential lumber due to environmental and health concerns. The treatments that replaced it are safer, but they don't stabilize the wood the same way, leaving it more vulnerable to heat, humidity, and rain over time. It's a trade-off — better for the environment, harder on your fence boards. The good news: proper installation, quality sealing, and routine maintenance can go a long way toward minimizing warping no matter what.
